For this double album release, Through Mists has gone down the road of playing around with both new and familiar concepts. An almost dreamy yet present lead guitar drives the album Shipwreck, and using a mixture of synth and piano sounds to craft the melodies on Chronosphere give both albums both cohesion and distinction in sound.

Both albums lean heavily on the synth and piano beauty in many key parts, with the balance of the heaviness crushing down to drive the points home. An almost despondent feeling is present on Shipwreck and that changes into a more energetic foray as Chronosphere progresses

Lyrically, we follow The Traveler coming up from the briny deep. He gets trapped on an atoll after his makeshift vessel gets attacked by sea monsters that he was avoiding while swimming to the surface. An evil djinn, Scylla, Charybdis and Typhon all take turns tormenting him before a wild whirlpool opens up. Trying to escape his fate yet again, a time twister scoops him up and deposits him somewhere outside space and time. There, upon discovering the mystical artifacts the Chronosphere and Starkiller, he decides to take the revenge he so craves : manipulate time itself to go on a crusade against every pantheon. Standing in his way are the embodiments of Time and Fate, who he must overcome by use of cunning and guile. What awaits The Traveler is yet to be seen, and heard
